Supply Chain Transformation
Our food industry client was interested in improving and standardizing the production planning and scheduling processes of their $3 billion dollar enterprise. We helped them conceptualize their future state vision and define their roadmap from a de-centralized, non-integrated, non-standard process to a centralized, integrated, and cost optimal one. Phase 1 addressed the least cost sourcing process. Phase 2 addressed the master production scheduling process. We managed the project implementation, model design, configuration, testing, business process change, and all data integration. First year results: over $10 million savings in cost improvements, more precise control of working capital and decreased cycle time for new product launches. The client now leverages a multi-plant, cost optimized production plan over a 78 week horizon, cycled on demand for all production lines.

Production Planning Redesign
Our leading international cosmetics client wanted to leverage the advanced planning and optimization capabilities of SAP APO to evolve from a simple MRP process to a material and capacity feasible one that supported their lean initiatives. The scope consisted of 10 global plant locations and 700 unique manufacturing resources. We partnered with the client to create an innovative solution that scheduled key manufacturing resources in their optimal changeover sequence and secondary resources scheduled just-in-time to material and capacity constraints. In addition, key products were systematically insulated from excessive demand fluctuations to create a stable procurement signal for long lead time components.
